Different manufacturers require different pigments, and different products from the same manufacturer also require different pigments; However, many properties of pigments themselves have contradictions and conflicts, and choosing the appropriate pigment is a great challenge for manufacturers. Inappropriate raw materials may produce seemingly qualified products in a short period of time, but they will leave significant quality concerns for the final product.

Ink preparation is the key to achieving the best printing effect and should be taken seriously.
Production raw materials: pigment, powder, ink blending oil
Required equipment: drying oven, three roll ink rolling machine
1、 Ink blending environment:
To achieve the best ink effect, the ink mixing environment should be dry and clean to prevent dust from falling in during the ink mixing process.
2、 Powder drying:
Powdered pigments themselves contain a certain amount of moisture. If they are not sealed in a timely manner or stored in a damp environment after opening, the moisture content will increase even more. If the moisture content in the color powder is too high, it will cause uneven ink and affect the printing effect. So it is best to dry the toner before ink mixing. The commonly used method is to lay the toner flat on a metal tray, put it in an oven, and dry it at 120 degrees Celsius or above for 30 minutes.
3、 Ink blending ratio:
Due to the varying density of each color, the ink ratio column is not fixed. In addition, the printing requirements of each manufacturer are not the same, so manufacturers should adjust the proportion appropriately based on different colors and viscosity requirements.
4、 Rolling ink:
Mix the color powder and ink mixing oil with a mixing knife to mix the color powder and oil. Then pour it into a three roll ink rolling machine and repeatedly press it more than three times to obtain ink suitable for printing.
5、 Storage:
Unused ink should be sealed and stored. If it becomes thick before the next use, an appropriate amount of ink adjusting oil can be added to improve its fluidity.
Main matters:
1. Prevent excessive lead content caused by secondary lead pollution;
2. Ensure a good barbecue effect;
1、 Printing process
1. Special attention should be paid to preventing secondary lead pollution. Due to the strict testing criteria for lead-free, even trace amounts of lead entering the pigment may cause fluctuations in the test values, even exceeding the standard. So the tools used in ink mixing, printing, and other processes should be separated from lead containing pigments to prevent external lead from entering the pigments.
2. Unused pigments should be sealed and stored to prevent dust and dirty air from entering; Pay special attention not to mix lead containing pigments.
3. Leadless pigments usually have a light specific gravity, and a large amount of ink mixing oil needs to be added during ink mixing. Therefore, special attention should be paid to the drying process, extending the drying time or increasing the drying temperature to ensure that each printing color is completely dry.
2、 Barbecue section
1. Pay attention to secondary pollution. Strictly speaking, it is required that the kiln for baking lead-free products should be separated from those for baking lead-containing products, otherwise the pigment will absorb lead in the kiln when it melts.
2. Due to the high content of ink mixing oil and the relatively high barbecue temperature required for lead-free pigments, special attention should be paid to the barbecue temperature and speed during barbecue. It is recommended to reduce the speed of the kiln and the density of the glass bottle placement, so that the organic components in the cover oil and ink mixing oil can be fully carbonized and evaporated. If the organic matter has not yet been carbonized and the pigment has started to melt, carbon is adsorbed in the pigment, which can easily lead to blackening. So at the appropriate temperature, reducing the speed and placement density can allow organic matter to evaporate in sufficient time and space.
